Job Summary

The Director of Workforce Development and Community Partnerships is a key leader responsible for driving the strategic development, implementation, and oversight of all programs and services offered through the Center for Workforce Development. This role requires a dynamic and visionary leader who can cultivate community partnerships, employer relationships, and acquire and manage grant funding for program sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement innovative workforce development programs that address the needs of diverse populations.
  • Provide strategic guidance and leadership to the workforce development team.
  • Design and deliver high-quality training programs that equip participants with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in the workforce.
  • Recruit and manage a team of skilled trainers and facilitators.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with employers, community partners, and educational institutions.
  • Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
  • Identify and maintain funding sources to operate CWD programs and activities.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to measure program outcomes and impact.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, preferably in business, public administration, workforce development, economics, or a closely related field.
  • Master's degree in a related field is desirable, but not required.
  • Ten years of progressively responsible experience in workforce development or a related field.

Work Environment:

This position requires a valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation for local and statewide travel. The workweek is Monday through Friday, with evenings and weekends required for programs and agency-related activities.
