Position: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
As a key member of the senior leadership team, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) plays a vital role in guiding the financial strategy and operational decision-making processes essential for achieving the facility's financial objectives. The CFO is responsible for overseeing all financial operations and ensuring effective fiscal management on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities
As the CFO, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring timely and accurate completion of monthly financial statements.
- Reconciling all balance sheet accounts monthly, in accordance with company policies, and addressing any discrepancies promptly.
- Preparing required corporate reports, including Monthly Operating Reports and Forecasts, accurately and on time.
- Implementing accounting policies and internal controls to ensure a clean audit process.
- Overseeing Revenue Cycle operations to optimize accounts receivable collection and minimize uncompensated care.
- Ensuring comprehensive insurance verification for all patients and collaborating with financial counselors on patient financial responsibilities.
- Maintaining an in-depth understanding of reimbursement methodologies to ensure accurate revenue recording.
- Supervising various departments, ensuring they are adequately staffed and trained to meet operational needs.
- Monitoring compliance with purchasing contracts to manage supply costs effectively.
- Preparing and managing the annual operating budget, providing ongoing variance analysis.
- Developing annual capital budgets and ensuring compliance with asset recording policies.
To be considered for the CFO position, candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of successful CFO experience in a healthcare environment.
- Previous experience in behavioral healthcare is highly desirable.
- Strong financial analysis skills and proficiency in relevant software applications.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills.
- The ability to think strategically and foster effective working relationships.
- A high degree of emotional intelligence and ethical standards.
