Job Title: Safety Representative

Allegiance Crane & Equipment is seeking a highly skilled Safety Representative to join our team in the Port Lavaca location. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prevent incidents and accidents in the workplace through proactive measures and technical advice.
  • Provide guidance on the proper operation of equipment and assist in adopting and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular job site visits and audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Represent the Company in customer safety meetings and conduct accident/incident investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT Regulations and maintain Driver Qualification files.
  • Develop and implement training programs to fill gaps in training and skills.
  • Manage work-related injuries and keep the Director of Safety informed.

Requirements:

  • Crane and Rigging, Industrial, and/or Construction background required.
  • Degree in Occupational Safety and Health preferred.
  • Minimum CSST safety certification preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and EPA laws and regulations required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing injuries.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and critical thinking.

Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to sit, stand, reach, bend, stoop, climb, and move about job sites and equipment. Some heavy physical effort required. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and be exposed to noise, heat, dust, and fumes.
