Job Summary

Victoria College is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Campus Security Officer to join our team. As a Campus Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our faculty, staff, students, and visitors on campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide highly visible personal and real property security for faculty, staff, students, and visitors on campus.
  • Respond to emergency situations, provide first-line response, and manage routine security and public safety patrols.
  • Enforce parking regulations and other college rules and regulations through the issuance of written warnings and administrative citations.
  • Identify and report any suspicious activity or potential security threats.
  • Provide courteous and professional assistance to the campus community.
  • Work shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned, and be available to work extended hours in cases of emergency or other situations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one year of directly related security experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen, 21 years of age or older, and in good physical condition.
  • Must have a valid Texas driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences.
  • Must demonstrate a creative, courteous, and customer service-oriented approach to campus policing.
  • Must be able to represent the college professionally and work collaboratively with administration, faculty, and staff.
Physical Demands
  • Must be in good physical condition and able to perform a variety of physically demanding movements while involved in enforcement operations.
  • Must be able to lift 30-45 pounds frequently, up to 75 pounds occasionally, and pull or drag up to 150 pounds.
  • Must be able to traverse at least 3 flights of stairs on a daily basis.
