Position Summary:
Xanitos is currently seeking dedicated full-time Environmental Services Technicians. The role involves maintaining cleanliness and orderliness across various locations within a healthcare setting. The responsibilities outlined below may vary based on specific client needs and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Thoroughly cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
  • Maintains cleanliness in rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
  • Conducts sweeping and/or vacuuming of floors.
  • Dusts furniture and equipment.
  • Polishes metal fixtures.
  • Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
  • Empties waste receptacles and transports trash to disposal areas.
  • Replenishes restroom supplies.
  • Moves small equipment or tools between departments.

Qualifications:

Applicants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless a medical or religious exemption is granted. Experience in the janitorial field is advantageous, particularly in medical settings.

  • Successful completion of medical, background screening, and drug testing is required.
  • FLU vaccine is mandatory.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The role necessitates the capacity to work on feet for extended periods and to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.

Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses, are essential. There may be exposure to chemicals requiring specific clothing or safety equipment.
