Position Overview

SAIC is in search of a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide support for the Air Operations Center Weapons System (AOC WS) Falconer Program.

This role demands extensive technical expertise, showcasing a solid understanding and application of systems administration, integration, and Help Desk principles. The ideal candidate will be adept in mission planning and scheduling, alongside maintaining the existing operational baseline. Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with clients and collaborating with other contractors to address inquiries, support technical meetings, and participate in enterprise working groups. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and represent SAIC in various meetings and discussions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing maintenance and support for the established Air Operations Center (AOC) baseline.
  • Assist in significant upgrade initiatives.
  • Deliver technical guidance to help mitigate risks during transitions between fielded baselines.
  • Oversee and manage Citrix XenApp, Citrix ADC, Storefront, Director, Studio, Licensing, and Gateway within highly available Citrix environments.
  • Implement Citrix upgrades, patches, and migrations according to provided documentation.
  • Support the resolution of action items identified in relevant engineering plans.
  • Guide site personnel in configuring, troubleshooting, and migrating to new AOC infrastructure components.
  • Assist with documenting site variances for the Configuration Management process, data migration, application tuning, and security patching.
  • Participate in technical exchange meetings and engineering discussions.
  • Recommend changes to AOC configuration management personnel.
  • Ensure completion of all necessary fielding prerequisites and post-installation updates by set deadlines.
  • Document lessons learned and metrics for sharing with other teams.
  • Support Verification and Validation Assessments and other program events as needed.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Current IAT Level 2 Certification (Sec+ or higher).
  • Advanced experience in Citrix application and desktop virtualization.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity with VMware Virtual Center Server and vSphere.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, SCCM, LDAP, Group Policy Objects, WSUS, and SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of ACAS and Nessus.
  • Experience with HBSS.
  • System administration skills for Windows Server 2016/2019 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, BASH, Python, and VB Script.
  • Experience in managing domain services and IT administration tasks as directed.
  • Ability to identify and correct errors in system documentation and technical diagrams.
  • VCP-DCV certification or extensive experience with VMware infrastructures.
  • MCSA and/or MCSE certification or extensive experience with Microsoft infrastructure.
