Position Overview

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide support for the Air Operations Center Weapons System (AOC WS) Falconer Program.

This role demands extensive technical expertise, showcasing a profound understanding of systems administration, integration, and Help Desk principles. The successful candidate will excel in face-to-face interactions with clients and contractors, addressing requests for information and contributing to technical meetings and enterprise working groups. The ability to work autonomously and represent the program effectively in various forums is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily maintenance and support of the Air Operations Center (AOC) baseline.
  • Assist in significant upgrade initiatives.
  • Provide technical guidance to AOC Tier 1 Help Desk and AOC sites to manage risks during transitions between fielded baselines.
  • Administer and maintain Citrix XenApp, Citrix ADC, Storefront, Director, Studio, Licensing, and Gateway within robust Citrix environments.
  • Implement Citrix upgrades, patches, and migrations according to established documentation.
  • Support the resolution of action items identified in the Fielding Summary Memorandum (FSM) and Site Specific Engineering Plan (SSEP).
  • Guide site personnel in configuring, troubleshooting, and migrating to new AOC infrastructure components.
  • Assist with capturing site variances for the Configuration Management (CM) process, data migration, application tuning, domain policies, security patches, and trouble ticket management.
  • Participate in technical exchange meetings, AOC PC engineering, and integration meetings, as well as post-installation follow-ups.
  • Propose modifications to AOC configuration management personnel.
  • Ensure completion of all necessary fielding prerequisites and post-install releases by specified deadlines.
  • Document lessons learned and metrics to share with other teams.
  • Support Verification and Validation Assessments and other events as required.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Current IAT Level 2 Certification (Sec+ or higher).
  • Advanced experience in Citrix application and desktop virtualization.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity with VMware Virtual Center Server and vSphere.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, SCCM, LDAP, Group Policy Objects, WSUS, and SQL Server.
  • Experience with ACAS and Nessus.
  • Understanding of HBSS.
  • System administration experience with Windows Server 2016/2019 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, BASH, Python, and VB Script.
  • Experience managing computer systems related to domain services, including security and application patch installation, user account management, system backup, and performance management.
  • Ability to identify errors or necessary corrections in system technical diagrams and documentation.
  • VCP-DCV certification or extensive experience in VMware infrastructure management.
  • MCSA and/or MCSE certification or substantial experience in Microsoft infrastructure management.
