Position Overview

SAIC is in search of a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide support for the Air Operations Center Weapons System (AOC WS) Falconer Program.

This role necessitates extensive technical expertise, showcasing a solid understanding and application of systems administration, integration, and Help Desk principles. The successful candidate will be adept at engaging with clients and other contractors to address inquiries, provide support during technical meetings, and participate in enterprise working groups. Independent work and effective representation of the program at meetings with government and associate contractors are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily maintenance and support of the established Air Operations Center (AOC) infrastructure.
  • Assist in significant upgrade initiatives.
  • Deliver technical guidance to AOC Tier 1 Help Desk and AOC sites to mitigate risks during transitions between fielded baselines.
  • Administer and sustain Citrix XenApp, Citrix ADC, Storefront, Director, Studio, Licensing, and Gateway within highly available Citrix environments.
  • Implement Citrix upgrades, patches, and migrations according to provided documentation.
  • Support the resolution of action items identified in the Fielding Summary Memorandum (FSM) and Site Specific Engineering Plan (SSEP).
  • Guide site personnel in configuring, troubleshooting, and migrating to new AOC infrastructure components.
  • Assist in documenting site variances for the Configuration Management (CM) process, data migration, application tuning, domain policies, security patch application, and trouble ticket management.
  • Participate in technical exchange meetings, AOC PC engineering and integration meetings, and post-installation follow-up meetings.
  • Propose modifications to AOC configuration management personnel.
  • Ensure completion of all relevant fielding prerequisites and post-install releases by designated deadlines.
  • Document lessons learned and metrics to share with other POSSEs and SPO personnel.
  • Support Verification and Validation Assessments and other SPIO events as required.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Current IAT Level 2 Certification (Sec+ or higher).
  • Advanced experience in Citrix application and desktop virtualization.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity with VMware Virtual Center Server and vSphere.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, SCCM, LDAP, Group Policy Objects, WSUS, and SQL Server.
  • Experience with ACAS and Nessus.
  • Understanding of HBSS.
  • System administration experience with Windows Server 2016/2019 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, BASH, Python, and VB Script.
  • Administration of systems related to domain services, including security and application patch management, user account management, system backup, and performance management.
  • Ability to identify errors or necessary corrections in system technical diagrams and documentation.
  • VCP-DCV certification or extensive experience in managing VMware virtual infrastructures.
  • MCSA and/or MCSE certification or significant experience in managing Microsoft infrastructure.
