Position Overview

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide support for the Air Operations Center Weapons System (AOC WS) Falconer Program.

This role demands extensive technical expertise, showcasing a profound understanding of systems administration, integration, and Help Desk methodologies. The successful candidate will be adept at engaging with clients and fellow contractors to address inquiries, facilitate technical meetings, and participate in enterprise working groups. The ability to work autonomously and represent SAIC effectively in various forums is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily maintenance and support of the Air Operations Center (AOC) infrastructure.
  • Assist in significant upgrade initiatives.
  • Provide technical guidance to AOC Tier 1 Help Desk and site personnel to manage risks during transitions between system baselines.
  • Administer and sustain Citrix XenApp, Citrix ADC, Storefront, Director, Studio, Licensing, and Gateway within robust Citrix environments.
  • Implement Citrix upgrades, patches, and migrations according to provided documentation.
  • Support the resolution of action items identified in the Fielding Summary Memorandum (FSM) and Site Specific Engineering Plan (SSEP).
  • Help site teams in configuring, troubleshooting, and migrating to new AOC infrastructure components.
  • Assist in documenting site variances for the Configuration Management (CM) process, data migration, application optimization, security patch application, and trouble ticket management.
  • Participate in technical exchange meetings and AOC engineering discussions.
  • Propose modifications to AOC configuration management personnel.
  • Ensure completion of all necessary fielding prerequisites and post-installation updates by established deadlines.
  • Document lessons learned and metrics to share with other teams.
  • Support Verification and Validation Assessments and other relevant events as required.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Current IAT Level 2 Certification (Sec+ or higher).
  • Advanced experience in Citrix application and desktop virtualization.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity with VMware Virtual Center Server and vSphere.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, SCCM, LDAP, Group Policy Objects, WSUS, and SQL Server.
  • Experience with ACAS and Nessus.
  • Understanding of HBSS.
  • System administration experience with Windows Server 2016/2019 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, BASH, Python, and VB Script.
  • Experience in managing domain services, including system startup/shutdown, security patch installation, user account management, and system auditing.
  • Ability to identify and rectify errors in technical documentation related to system installation and maintenance.
  • VCP-DCV certification or extensive experience in VMware infrastructure management.
  • MCSA and/or MCSE certification or significant experience in Microsoft infrastructure management.
