POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you play a vital role in delivering patient care at Rochester Regional Health. Your contributions positively impact the lives of our patients, their families, and visitors – consistently striving to meet their needs with empathy, respect, and professionalism.

OUR FACILITY & DEPARTMENT:

United Memorial Medical Center (UMMC) has been a cornerstone of healthcare for residents of Genesee County and neighboring rural areas since its establishment. Today, UMMC employs over 900 dedicated professionals, all focused on providing personalized, comprehensive, and advanced medical care. UMMC is recognized as a New York State Stroke Center, offering a wide array of services to cater to patient needs. The facility features a modern surgical department, a wound care center, urgent care, maternity services, and a Joint Replacement Center of Excellence, alongside various primary and specialty physician offices. UMMC proudly oversees the New York State Cancer Services Partnership Grant for Orleans and Genesee Counties.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full Time

DEPARTMENT: OBGYN

WORK SCHEDULE: Evening/Night (7pm-7am), weekend and holiday rotation

*No day shift available*

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Registered Nurse license in New York State
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • NRP preferred

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Patient Satisfaction. Gather and respond to patient feedback to enhance service and processes that improve the patient experience
  • Medication Administration & Reporting. Administer medications and communicate relevant reports, both written and verbal
  • Documentation. Ensure accurate, relevant, and complete patient care documentation using computerized medical record systems

EDUCATION:

AS: Nursing (Required)

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA), RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
