About the Role:

  • Identify quality and patient safety issues and develop interventional strategies to mitigate potential medical errors and improve patient outcomes.
  • Advise and educate healthcare professionals to improve practice habits and documentation to create a safe environment for patients.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of patient records for indicators such as peer review, regulatory events, complications, occurrence reports, and other identified studies.

Responsibilities:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Three years of clinical experience and one year of quality and patient safety/performance improvement experience preferred.
  • Key Skills and Qualifications:
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills necessary to work with healthcare teams, care management, patient care services, and support departments.
    • Knowledge of national patient safety initiatives and safety goals.
    • Exposure to sepsis and infection prevention indicators.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Strong leadership skills.
