About the Role:
- Identify quality and patient safety issues and develop interventional strategies to mitigate potential medical errors and improve patient outcomes.
- Advise and educate healthcare professionals to improve practice habits and documentation to create a safe environment for patients.
- Conduct thorough reviews of patient records for indicators such as peer review, regulatory events, complications, occurrence reports, and other identified studies.
Responsibilities:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: Three years of clinical experience and one year of quality and patient safety/performance improvement experience preferred.
- Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills necessary to work with healthcare teams, care management, patient care services, and support departments.
- Knowledge of national patient safety initiatives and safety goals.
- Exposure to sepsis and infection prevention indicators.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
