Configuration Management Specialist

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain the CMDB, guaranteeing data precision and timeliness.
  • Implement best practices and refine processes for updating Configuration Item (CI) data.
  • Formulate and disseminate the Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) Roadmap and spearhead initiatives to meet objectives.
  • Establish and enforce Configuration and Asset Management frameworks, standards, and policies.
  • Create guidelines for the distinct identification of object types, environments, processes, and more.
  • Manage the procedures for establishing and modifying relationships within the CMDB, particularly for essential IT and business solutions.
  • Conduct reporting functions to support audits, configuration status, lifecycle management, and more.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of expertise in Service Asset and Configuration Management methodologies.
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools such as ServiceNow, Flexera One, HP Service Manager, or BMC Atrium.
  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities.
