Job Description

Navarro Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Project Management Specialist to join our team. This is a remote position, and we are looking for individuals who can work during Eastern Time Zone office hours.

As a Project Management Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing integrated critical path schedules for major projects and/or portfolios of projects in accordance with contract specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and document project planning considerations and objectives, scope, and milestones to incorporate into the schedule.
  • Gather project progress information from project managers and project team members to update and monitor the project.
  • Evaluate and update data regarding schedule dates, physical percent complete, resource requirements, subcontractor commitments, and project accruals.
  • Review schedule progress and productivity of resources.
  • Develop time-phased project cost and resource forecasts; validate project costs; update requirements as required.
  • Monitor progress of project deliverables and actual expenditures versus forecasts.
  • Perform performance reporting for a portfolio of projects or programs using Earned Value Management.
  • Conduct financial analysis, including variance, risk, and profit/loss analyses.
  • Perform non-routine analyses and prepare non-routine financial reports.
  • Document and assess the impact of project changes on cost/schedule baselines.
  • Evaluate and raise project early warning signals to project managers or project leads.
  • Evaluate and recommend resource realignments to maintain project execution.
  • Generate and analyze earned value reports for projects and discuss any observations with project managers.
  • Prepare client and internal status reports to communicate cost status and document trends.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and contractual specifications, such as federal/government regulations.

Requirements:

  • This position is remote, with the expectation that candidates can work during Eastern Time Zone office hours. Residency in the United States is a mandatory requirement.
  • Bachelor's degree required (engineering, construction management, or related field preferred).
  • Beginner level to senior level user of MS Project.
  • Beginner level to senior level competency in both schedule and cost control.
  • Advanced level understanding of Microsoft Office suite.
  • PMP or other applicable certification preferred.
  • Department of Energy (DOE) experience.
  • P6 experience a plus.
  • Ability to pass a federal background check and drug screen.
