Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Farm Department Account Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Farm Department, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of Farm Insurance accounts and related policies, including servicing, counseling, retention, and cross-selling of farm and related insurance products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to existing customers, assisting with inquiries, cancellations, and policy changes.
  • Counsel customers on coverage options, quote insurance rates, and accurately complete applications.
  • Prioritize the placement of business with core carriers and gather necessary information for quotes.
  • Perform account transactions, including quotations, applications, and binders for new and rewritten business.
  • Prepare and complete questionnaires, documents, and adjust accounts in accordance with agency procedures.
  • Modify, update, and process existing policies and claims in our agency management system and company systems.
  • Document interactions with customers in our agency management system and attach relevant documents.
  • Assist with billing inquiries and payments as needed.
  • Complete daily and monthly reports assigned to you.
  • Act proactively to retain accounts, following up on cancellations and Broker of Record letters.
  • Seek out new sales opportunities through networking, referrals, or asking for additional lines of business.
  • Represent the agency in a professional, ethical, and courteous manner.
  • Respond to customers promptly, accurately, professionally, and courteously.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company and client information.
Requirements
  • High School diploma required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related commercial lines account management experience; any experience with Farm accounts highly desired.
  • Pennsylvania Property and Casualty License required; Life and Health Insurance License preferred.
  • Understanding of insurance coverage forms, carrier products, and company underwriting guidelines.
  • Adherence to agency guidelines for placing business.
  • Knowledge and ability to use individual company software and programs to quote policies when required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with an agency management system, preferably Applied Epic.
  • Knowledge of processes for providing customer and personal services, principles, and methods for promoting and selling products.
  • Must display a positive attitude at all times with clients and employees.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to listen and speak effectively to others.
  • Ability to manage one's own time.
  • Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to take direction and work both independently and as part of a team.
