Position Overview: Farm Department Account Manager
As a Farm Department Account Manager, you will take charge of managing all facets of Farm Insurance accounts, along with associated Personal and Commercial Insurance policies. Your responsibilities will include servicing, advising, retaining, and cross-selling farm-related insurance products in line with agency protocols and standards. Furthermore, you will provide assistance across various subdivisions within the Farm Department as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist current clients through inbound and outbound communications to address cancellations, provide insurance quotes, review coverage options, and recommend appropriate products to fulfill their needs.
- Guide clients on coverage and policy modifications, conduct insurance rate assessments, and accurately complete necessary applications.
- Consistently prioritize business with core insurance carriers.
- Gather essential information for quotes, input data into the agency's quoting software, and advise clients on the most fitting products.
- Manage account transactions such as quotations, applications, and binders for both rewritten and new business.
- Update policies and process claims within agency and company systems to reflect any changes in coverage.
- Document all client interactions and inquiries in the agency management system.
- Assist with billing inquiries and payment processing as required.
- Proactively retain accounts by following up on cancellations and exploring new sales opportunities.
- Represent the agency in a professional and ethical manner in all client interactions.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding company and client information.
- Collaborate on cross-sale initiatives within the Farm Department for existing clients.
- Support both service and new business activities within the Farm Department as necessary.
- Perform any additional tasks or assignments as directed.
Requirements:
- High School diploma required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial account management, ideally with Farm accounts.
- Pennsylvania Property and Casualty License is required; Life and Health Insurance License is a plus.
- Familiarity with insurance coverage forms, carrier products, and underwriting guidelines.
- Proficient in using company software for policy quoting.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and agency management systems such as Applied Epic.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
