Position Overview: The Senior Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will play a crucial role in evaluating, diagnosing, and managing mental health disorders in older adults. This position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and provides a mix of onsite and hybrid work environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and establish accurate diagnoses
  • Develop tailored treatment plans for individual patients
  • Work alongside various healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care
  • Monitor and modify medication regimens to enhance treatment effectiveness
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding mental health topics
  • Participate in team meetings and case discussions to coordinate patient care

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license
  • Preference for certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
  • A minimum of 6 months experience in psychiatric or geriatric healthcare
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Capability to excel in a patient-centered care environment
