Senior Merchandising Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Merchandising Manager to join our team at City Gear, LLC. As a key member of our Ecommerce team, you will be responsible for executing the merchandise strategy for our website and Ecommerce platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and implementation of Ecommerce strategies to drive sales and profit growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including buying, marketing, and creative, to coordinate product and content updates.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure compliance with MAP policies and clearance attribution.
- Oversee sitewide promo exclusion reports and ensure accurate product categorization.
- Develop and execute merchant promotions, including product selection, promotional categories, and marketing support.
- Run monthly search reports to identify opportunities and corrections.
- Train and develop site merchandisers on new tasks and provide full training for new hires.
- Responsible for online sales, margin, and profit growth for assigned product categories.
- Develop and maintain digital merchandising strategies, including search and sort orders, website navigation, and facets.
- Serve as a digital thought leader, identifying new technologies and features through benchmarking competitor activity and attending industry conferences.
- Collaborate with merchandising and planning teams to develop new offers and promotions.
- Work with marketing teams to obtain resources to support campaigns, including emails, texts, and social posts.
- Analyze the effectiveness of promotions and make data-driven decisions.
- Review website content to ensure accuracy, currentness, and presentation.
- Determine strategies to build average order values through add-on strategies and product assortments.
- Use market basket data and other sources to execute add-ons and soft bundles.
- Attend weekly Digital Team Business Review meetings to discuss category performance and resource needs.
- Develop guided selling experiences to assist customers in finding the right product.
- Coordinate with vendor teams to secure samples and digital images.
- Ensure each category meets company standards and strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, merchandising, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 6-8 years of experience in Ecommerce and merchandising, with a focus on leadership and employee development.
- Retail industry experience preferred.
- Experience in store buying and planning, with a focus on launching digital channels and growing digital businesses.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
