POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for overseeing the execution of visual merchandising strategies by managing cooperative funds, vendor partnerships, and training store personnel on visual presentation standards. This role includes assisting with visual merchandising projects for new store openings, renovations, and product introductions. The aim is to coordinate the visual display of products, enhance brand perception, drive sales, optimize space usage, and improve the overall shopping experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct and manage the design process of visual merchandising guidelines to ensure quality and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with purchasing teams on monthly visual directives to exchange ideas, address challenges, and work towards shared objectives.
  • Oversee the in-store marketing process from inception to execution, including vendor initiatives and the implementation of point-of-purchase signage across all locations.
  • Develop and finalize monthly and seasonal visual directives in stores to ensure consistency, align with marketing strategies, and maximize sales potential.
  • Lead all store floor sets to build trust and credibility, enhance team performance, drive sales outcomes, improve customer experiences, boost team morale, promote ongoing learning, and demonstrate adaptability.
  • Complete and submit vendor cooperative advertising images and invoices to ensure adherence to advertising agreements.
  • Set up and install all vendor initiatives in-store, capturing images to enhance sales performance and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Participate in vendor final line reviews to ensure product quality, compliance, cost management, and strong vendor relationships.
  • Engage in operational training videos focusing on visual presentation.
  • Coordinate vendor point-of-purchase materials and communicate relevant information to stores to maximize marketing effectiveness, optimize sales, and ensure a consistent customer experience.
  • Analyze business presentations to promote profitability.
  • Assist in developing innovative visual strategies and customer experience objectives to remain competitive, foster customer loyalty, and drive sales.
  • Conduct competitive shopping to stay informed on market trends.
  • Safeguard the company's assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and alerting management of potential fraud risks.
  • Collaborate with the digital merchandising team on strategies and learning for the retail environment.
  • Facilitate process development and deployment to store operations and leaders to enhance store operations, empower leaders, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Travel to store locations as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in merchandising or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in retail.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities.
  • Experience in a retail setting, particularly in footwear and athletic apparel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud is preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively with groups.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to perform basic mathematical operations and demonstrate knowledge of marketing and merchandising principles.
  • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and solve problems in standardized situations.
  • Action-oriented approach to ensure goal achievement and effective execution of plans.
  • Business acumen to understand organizational strategies and tactics.
