Team Net Medical LLC is seeking a highly skilled Medical Radiation Therapy Specialist to join their Radiation Oncology team in Virginia. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to make a meaningful impact in the field of radiation therapy.

 

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Radiation Therapist to administer radiation treatments to patients with minimal supervision, providing quality patient care and adhering to departmental policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiation safety practices and be able to perform treatment-related activities efficiently.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer radiation treatments to patients according to Radiation Oncologist's orders, ensuring accuracy and quality care.
  • Participate in Quality Assessment and Improvement Program, promoting effective departmental operations and quality patient care.
  • Perform all treatment-related activities, including patient transport, scheduling, record-keeping, charge capture, chart checks, portal verification, and equipment warm-up/QA checks.
  • Conduct CT simulations of patients and treatment planning functions.
  • Maintain adherence to radiation safety practices for patients, personnel, and self, including shielding when necessary.
  • Report equipment malfunctions or erratic operations to Lead Radiation Therapist or Physicist immediately.

 

Requirements:

  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent certifying organization.
  • One to two years of relevant clinical experience preferred.
