Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medication to clients based on their medical charts, following protocols for documentation and restocking medication carts.
  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including toileting, showering, assisting with meals, light cleaning, and other essential daily activities.
  • Work with physicians and pharmacies to ensure accurate medication ordering.
  • Report changes in clients' medical conditions and behaviors to physicians, families, and community leadership.
  • Communicate effectively with multiple levels within and outside the organization, including clients, families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Provide emotional support to clients by treating them with respect, dignity, and maintaining a positive and cheerful appearance.
Requirements
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience working as a caregiver or med tech with adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in a healthcare setting.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent.
  • PCA, HHA, or CNA certification (preferred).
