Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at Delta-T Group Inc. in Fairfax, VA. As a key member of our care team, you will provide individualized support to our client, ensuring their independence and safety while assisting with daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medication to the client based on their medical charts and follow protocols for documenting medication and restocking med carts.
  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) for the client, including toileting, showering, assisting with meals, light cleaning, and other essential daily activities.
  • Work with physicians and the pharmacy to ensure medication is ordered properly.
  • Report changes in the client's medical conditions and behaviors to physicians, families, and community leadership.
  • Communicate effectively with multiple levels within and outside of the organization, including the client, families, caregivers, wellness coordinators, and healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience working as a caregiver or med tech with adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in a healthcare setting.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent.
  • PCA, HHA, or CNA certification (preferred).
