We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Program Manager to join our team at Amazon Corporate Services AFHI LLC - R26. As a key member of our Global Engineering Services (GES) Sustainability team, you will be responsible for executing, planning, communicating, and tracking Sustainability initiatives to drive buildings-focused decarbonization, energy efficiency, and resource positivity.
The successful candidate will have a proven ability in planning, design, and project management, as well as experience in controlling sustainability requirements for new buildings and enhancing existing buildings. You will work closely with stakeholder teams, including Operations Business Unit (CF, ATS, AMZL) Sustainability teams, WW Ops Sustainability, Engineering, Procurement, RME, IT, and others to develop, prioritize, and create execution plans for Sustainability initiatives in New Launches and retrofits of existing buildings.
Key responsibilities will include overseeing construction engineering, planning, and design for Sustainability inclusions into new buildings and Sustainability retrofits for existing buildings to reduce energy consumption through inclusion of high-efficiency building equipment. You will also track carbon footprint of new launches, perform engineering calculations, and review material/equipment specifications to assess energy usage, efficiency, carbon footprint impact, payback, etc.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering, surveying, architecture, or construction management, and significant experience as a design and/or construction professional and experience in leading Sustainability projects/programs. You will also have experience negotiating construction, procurement, and labor contracts and driving contractor documents such as RFPs/Scopes of Service.

- Manage contractors, designers, and consultants for carbon modeling, carbon reduction, and/or energy-efficiency studies.
- Liaise and work with permitting authorities to support Sustainability inclusions in new and existing buildings.
- Facilitate and partner with stakeholder teams on due diligence evaluations of new opportunities.
- Establish and operate the information systems necessary to track progress of the execution of Sustainability inclusions across New Build and Retrofit programs.
