Job Title: Customer Service Technical Support

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Technical Support professional to join our team at Innospec Inc. in Midland, TX.

Job Summary

This role is responsible for providing technical support to our sales team, customers, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, technical expertise, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the sales team in maintaining existing business and growing opportunities with new customers.
  • Provide technical expertise to customers, sales staff, and internal stakeholders.
  • Network with technical representatives within the company and other areas for best practices and product knowledge sharing.
  • Conduct production system surveys and problem diagnoses.
  • Select and apply chemicals, prepare and present technical recommendations to customers, and validate chemical selection.
  • Stay conversant about in-field petroleum production practices.
  • Lead programs as directed by technical management to address industry, customer, and sales/business initiatives.
  • Visit customer sites to support sales force and enhance presence within existing accounts and to capture new customers to increase sales.
  • Screen Innospec product lines for selecting appropriate applications.
  • Improve and understand product formulation/troubleshooting.
  • Effectively communicate company products to operations groups and potential/existing customers.
  • Perform failure analysis and process hazards analysis, making necessary recommendations for adjustments to chemical programs as needed.
  • Coordinate with department heads and utilize the internal network for preparing technical proposals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 5-7 years of related industry experience.
  • Precious product formulation background preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Up to 25-50% travel.
  • Must be located in Midland/Odessa or within reasonable commuting distance.
