Position Summary:

The Service Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting both Field and Shop Service supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure daily submission of technician time and documentation.
  • Initiate and manage work orders, adjusting job segments as necessary based on changes in scope or estimates.
  • Communicate effectively with PSRs and clients regarding updates on estimates and scope alterations.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of communications to keep clients informed about the work being performed.
  • Assist technicians with follow-ups on the status of assigned work orders.
  • Oversee work orders, ensuring all documentation, including write-ups, eTime, and job photos, are prepared for supervisor review.
  • Manage warranty repairs, ensuring all necessary documentation is available for claims.
  • Provide feedback to Field and Shop Supervisors regarding employee performance evaluations and training requirements.
  • Report any rework or non-productive activities by technicians to the Field and Shop Supervisors.
  • Keep supervisors updated on problematic jobs prior to invoicing.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED with at least two years of vocational or technical education.
  • A minimum of five years' experience as a heavy equipment technician.
  • Strong computer proficiency.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • General understanding of maintenance, repair processes, parts department operations, and customer requirements.
