Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Boiler Technician to join our team. This role involves performing advanced mechanical maintenance tasks related to the inspection, repair, installation, and modification of boiler systems and associated equipment. The technician will also conduct preventive maintenance and routine servicing of these systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair boiler systems for commercial and industrial clients. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues related to these systems.
  • Work with various system sizes and manufacturers, including high and low-pressure steam boilers, hot water heating systems, and associated components.
  • Travel to various job sites, coordinating with dispatch to maintain an efficient schedule and communicate any delays to clients.
  • Be available for on-call duties, including nights and weekends, to address emergency service requests.
  • Ensure the company vehicle is well-maintained, including regular inspections and reporting any mechanical issues.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of parts, tools, and safety equipment in the service vehicle.
  • Generate accurate customer invoices at job sites, understanding company pricing structures.
  • Document all installed equipment, including make, model, serial number, fuel type, and necessary measurements.
  • Diagnose service issues, procure replacement parts, calibrate systems to manufacturer specifications, and clearly communicate solutions to clients.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on the latest industry technologies.
  • Identify potential opportunities for additional services and report them to management.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a UA Apprenticeship or relevant technical school training is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in the field is required.
  • Preferred certifications include Journeyman HVAC License, Master HVAC License, EPA Certification, and Factory Training.
