Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Boiler Technician who will be responsible for performing mechanical maintenance tasks related to the inspection, repair, installation, and modification of boiler systems and associated equipment. This role involves executing preventive maintenance and routine servicing to ensure optimal system functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair boiler systems for commercial and industrial clients, including diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues.
- Work with various equipment types, including high and low-pressure steam boilers, hot water heating systems, and associated components.
- Travel to designated job sites and coordinate with dispatch to maintain an efficient service schedule.
- Be available for on-call duties, including nights and weekends, to address emergency service requests.
- Ensure the company vehicle is in good working condition, including regular maintenance and inspections.
- Maintain an adequate inventory of parts, tools, and safety equipment in the service vehicle.
- Generate accurate customer invoices on-site and document all installed equipment details.
- Diagnose service issues, procure necessary replacement parts, and calibrate systems according to manufacturer specifications.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on the latest industry technologies and practices.
- Identify potential opportunities for additional services and communicate these to management.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a UA Apprenticeship or technical school program is preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience is required.
- Preferred certifications include Journeyman HVAC License, Master HVAC License, EPA, CFC Certification, and Factory Training.
