Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Boiler Technician who will be responsible for performing mechanical maintenance tasks related to the inspection, repair, installation, and modification of boiler systems and associated equipment. This role involves conducting preventive maintenance and routine servicing to ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair boiler systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional clients. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components of these systems.
  • Travel to various job sites within the service area, coordinating with dispatch to maintain schedules and communicate any delays to clients.
  • Be available for on-call duties during nights or weekends on a rotating schedule to address emergency service needs.
  • Ensure the company vehicle is well-maintained, including regular refueling, reporting mechanical issues, and completing monthly vehicle inspections.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
  • Understand pricing structures and generate accurate customer invoices on-site.
  • Document all installed equipment upon arrival, including make, model, serial number, fuel type, necessary test measurements, and photographs as needed.
  • Diagnose various service issues, procure replacement parts, calibrate systems according to manufacturer specifications, and clearly communicate findings and solutions to clients.
  • Participate in training sessions provided by the company to stay updated on the latest industry technologies.
  • Identify and report potential opportunities for additional business, including service contracts and newer systems.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a UA Apprenticeship or technical school program is preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience is required.
  • Preferred certifications include Journeyman HVAC License, Master HVAC License, EPA, CFC Certification, and Factory Training.
