About the Role:
The Assistant Inventory Manager will be a key member of our ecommerce and retail teams, responsible for executing inventory strategies and processes across all our store locations. This role will involve analyzing allocation performance to optimize sales and implementing processes to maintain accurate inventory at the store level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform weekly store allocations based on sales and inventory trends to ensure optimal inventory levels
- Monitor and analyze stores and merchandise at style/color/size level to ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained, fulfilled, and adjusted as needed
- Maintain a thorough understanding of production line, seasonality styles, customer, and retail market trends to meet merchandising and sales goals
- Assist in reconciling daily inventory movements or discrepancies to ensure accurate inventory at retail locations
- Complete data entry tasks for inventory movements with strong attention to detail
- Generate and analyze weekly reporting to inform business-driven decisions
- Evaluate and recommend enhancements to processes, tools, and systems used to drive the allocation of product for the retail business
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Store Operations, Warehouse, Merchandising, and Planning to identify business opportunities and minimize risks
- Participate in quarterly physical inventories
- Communicate with store employees on all aspects of inventory management
Requirements:
- 2-year associate degree or bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
- 3+ years prior work experience in related field i.e. warehouse, supply chain, inventory distribution
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven analytical skills in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail when performing data entry in various platforms
- Proficient in Excel
- Basic computer and math proficiency
- Highly organized
- High School diploma required
- Retail experience preferred
