Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Inventory Specialist to join our team at Sysco. As a key member of our inventory management team, you will be responsible for performing cycle counts, compiling and maintaining records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, and/or supplies stocked in the establishment and/or items to be returned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform cycle counts of warehouse inventory, including all pick and reserve slots, to ensure accuracy and integrity of physical count.
  • Research root causes for count discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent future issues.
  • Perform quality checks on date-sensitive, slow-moving, and obsolete items to ensure proper storage and handling.
  • Support the product recall process and ensure timely and accurate removal of recalled products from inventory.
  • Verify the put-away and transfer process performed by day and night personnel to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Initiate and document product transfer from the cooler to the freezer, ensuring proper storage and handling of perishable items.
  • Review standard management reports to identify trends and areas for improvement in inventory management.
  • Coordinate will-call orders and ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer requests.
Requirements
  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of experience in inventory management or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
