BILLING COORDINATOR
Location: Birmingham, Alabama HYBRID*
Salary: $60,000 + benefits

Vaco is looking for a skilled Billing Coordinator to enhance our client's financial team. This role provides a flexible work atmosphere with competitive compensation and benefits. The position allows for a hybrid work schedule, enabling remote work 2 to 3 days a week after training.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and modify pre-bills as per requests from attorneys and administrative staff.
  • Process electronic invoices utilizing specialized E-billing systems.
  • Allocate retainer funds as instructed by legal professionals.
  • Ensure accurate and timely execution of complex billing tasks.
  • Resolve discrepancies arising during the E-billing procedure.
  • Handle a substantial volume of invoices monthly.
  • Maintain effective communication with attorneys, administrative staff, and clients.
  • Verify billing accuracy and supporting documents.
  • Investigate and address billing questions and concerns.
  • Develop billing schedules and perform additional billing analyses as required.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Preferred experience in billing within a legal firm environment.
  • Familiarity with Elite, Aderant, Juris, or similar accounting software.
  • Exceptional multitasking, prioritization, and organizational abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and capacity to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and work demands.
  • Proactive approach to anticipating work requirements and executing tasks with minimal supervision.
  • College degree is preferred.
