Position Title: Clinical Physician
Location: Remote (Must hold a valid license in South Carolina)
Compensation: $175.00/hr

Role Summary:
The Clinical Physician will play a vital role in supporting Care Connections, a partner committed to improving health outcomes by utilizing Nurse Practitioners effectively through telehealth services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct chart reviews via telehealth.
  • Complete 2 hours of supervision per assigned Nurse Practitioner each month (up to 4 NPs may be assigned); maintain availability during standard NP working hours (40 hours per week).
  • Perform monthly quality chart reviews on a minimum of two (2) charts or 10% of a representative sample.
  • Meet with assigned Nurse Practitioners to discuss chart documentation and quality of care, in compliance with state regulations.
  • Remain accessible through phone or electronic communication during NP working hours.
  • Act as a supervising and collaborating physician in accordance with applicable laws and the NP Collaborative Practice Protocol Agreement.
  • Liability insurance will be provided for claims arising solely from the professional services related to supervision and collaboration with Nurse Practitioners.

Qualifications:

  • MD Licensure in South Carolina is required.
  • Board Certification in Family Medicine is necessary.
  • 1-3 years of telehealth experience is required.
  • Experience with EPIC EMR is preferred.
  • Proficiency in PC applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web-based applications is essential.
