Position Overview:

As a Transmission Systems Project Engineer, your primary focus will be on executing vehicle-based assessments that emphasize the calibration and control of transmission and driveline systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in a diverse range of projects that cover various facets of powertrain, driveline calibration, and vehicle/component development.
  • Plan experiments, set up data acquisition systems, analyze and interpret results to inform subsequent tests, and create comprehensive presentations and reports for clients.
  • Conduct projects with a high degree of professionalism, ensuring that technical and timing expectations are met or exceeded within the established project budget.
  • Demonstrate hands-on skills and a keen attention to detail, with a strong desire to comprehend test results, calibration modifications, and the associated documentation.
  • Support ongoing development programs at customer facilities as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or Electrical Engineering (BSEE) is mandatory.
  • Solid understanding of transmission and driveline components.
  • Experience with powertrain, vehicle, and test cell data acquisition.
  • Proven teamwork, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills for client interactions.
  • Hands-on experience and enthusiasm for engineering tasks.
  • Demonstrated expertise in vehicle and driveline testing and calibration.
  • Ability to lead testing and calibration projects while guiding less experienced engineers and technicians.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with various transmission types, including planetary automatic, manual, DCT, and CVT.
  • Experience with Functional Safety (FuSa) principles.
  • Knowledge in transmission/driveline and engine calibration.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Excel/Visual Basic and Matlab.
  • Experience with data acquisition hardware/software like ETAS INCA, CANape, CANalyzer, and CSM.
  • Understanding of hybrid systems and high-voltage systems.
  • Experience in On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) and diagnostics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Project).
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in relevant roles.
