Position Overview:
- In the role of a Project Engineer, your main focus will be on executing vehicle evaluations that emphasize the calibration and control of transmission and driveline systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in various projects that involve multiple facets of powertrain, driveline calibration, and vehicle/component innovation.
- Accountable for designing experiments, setting up equipment, gathering data, analyzing findings, and creating comprehensive presentations and reports for clients.
- You are expected to manage projects with a high degree of professionalism, ensuring that our clients' technical and scheduling needs are met or surpassed within the established project budget.
- A strong attention to detail and a hands-on approach are essential for understanding test results, calibration modifications, and related documentation.
- Work may require onsite collaboration at client facilities to support ongoing development initiatives.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
- Familiarity with transmission and driveline components is essential.
- Experience in powertrain, vehicle, or test cell data acquisition is necessary.
- Proven teamwork, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for client interactions.
- Hands-on skills and interest in engineering tasks.
- Proven experience in vehicle and driveline testing and calibration.
- Ability to lead testing and calibration projects while guiding less experienced engineers and technicians.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Knowledge of various transmission types, including planetary automatic, manual, DCT, and CVT.
- Experience in transmission/driveline and/or engine calibration.
- Proficiency in programming tools such as Excel/Visual Basic and Matlab.
- Familiarity with data acquisition hardware/software like ETAS INCA, CANape, CANalyzer, and CSM.
- Understanding of hybrid systems and high-voltage systems.
- Experience with OBD and diagnostics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Project.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in relevant roles.
