Job Overview

The Event Services Manager will play a crucial role in the daily operations and management of dining venues for group and banquet events. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a full-service event space, country club, or hotel/resort setting. A background in hands-on service, particularly in a dynamic, high-volume environment, is essential.

This hospitality expert must be familiar with Micros or similar Point of Sale systems and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Strong communication skills are vital for success in this position, along with a proven track record of effectively managing a large service team. Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and guide banquet service personnel.
  • Assist in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of quality standards for banquet services.
  • Engage with guests to ensure a memorable experience.
  • Oversee meal service to guarantee professionalism and timeliness by actively monitoring events and liaising with the kitchen.
  • Address guest concerns and complaints promptly.
  • Ensure the setup and upkeep of service areas meet established standards.
  • Manage the availability of staff, supplies, and equipment to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Support the hiring, scheduling, and supervision of captains, greeters, servers, and housepersons.
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings and conduct ongoing training to foster employee development.
  • Assist in generating reports on production and managing necessary requisitions.
  • May be required to adapt to varying schedules based on the hotel's operational needs.
