Patient Service Representative Part-time, Redbird Location

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Service Representative to join our team at UT Southwestern Medical Center. As a key member of our patient services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive exceptional care and service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a warm and welcoming presence at all entrances, greeting patients, their families, and guests with a smile.
- Offer escorts and wheelchair assistance to ensure patient comfort and safety at all times.
- Seek to understand the needs of internal and external customers, meeting and exceeding their expectations.
- Serve as a liaison between patients, their families, friends, and our medical staff, providing information and support as needed.
- Respond to patient inquiries for information in person and over the telephone, providing accurate and timely responses.
- Keep current on UT Southwestern Campus information to answer phones, respond to requests, and provide appropriate information as required.
- Respectfully interact with emotionally ill patients and family members, providing empathy and support.
- Work with Lead Patient Services Representatives to solve specific problems and ensure successful business operations.
- Provide assistance with electronic and in-person patient check-in at the applicable Guest and Patient Services desks across campus.
- Communicate changes effectively, prepare and support those affected by change, and monitor transition and evaluate results.
- Listen, apologize, find a solution, and follow through when resolving guest problems.
- Give personal attention, take personal responsibility, and use teamwork when providing guest services.
- High school graduation or GED and six (6) months customer service experience required.
- Incumbent must obtain CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
- CPR certification must be current for duration of employment.
