At Montage International, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen operations, the Sous Chef will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the kitchen and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage kitchen staff and ensure schedules are posted in a timely manner
  • Track kitchen inventory and prepare orders for restaurant and bar menus
  • Recruit and monitor staff performance
  • Assist in maintaining food and labor costs
  • Ensure opening and closing procedures are completed
  • Execute production and plating in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain food quality and ensure guest satisfaction
  • Assist in developing control procedures and enforcing them
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef on menu development and recipe standardization
  • Take responsibility for shifts during the Executive Chef's absence
Requirements:
  • Culinary school graduate or related training
  • Previous experience in hospitality or club operations
  • Ability to accurately communicate with guests and staff
  • Experience with creating schedules, labor costing, and payroll administration
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure
Physical Requirements:

Constant standing and walking throughout shift. Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water. The individual must be able to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly.

The pay scale for Sous Chef is $72,000-$74,000.00.

The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.
