Job Summary

The Clinical Pharmacist-Outpt plays a crucial role in ensuring the needs of neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients are met. As a key source of drug information, this individual acts as a liaison between patients and healthcare professionals. In the mail order pharmacy setting, they coordinate activities as required. This role requires flexibility and the ability to cover multiple pharmacy locations as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise clerks, technicians, interns, and students to ensure patient needs are met.
  • Act as a major source of drug information for patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Coordinate mail order activities in the pharmacy setting.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and ability to cover multiple pharmacy locations as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of pharmacy is required.
  • No experience is required, but a minimum of one year of community pharmacy experience is preferred.
  • Able to write legibly and assemble, troubleshoot, and calibrate patient care equipment.
  • Use computer and software programs necessary for the position.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with others.
  • Work calmly and respond courteously under pressure.
  • Collaborate with others and accept direction.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone.
  • Perform basic math functions essential to the position.
  • Think critically and organize and prioritize workload.
  • Manage multiple assignments effectively and work well under pressure.
  • Problem solve, recall information, and pay close attention to detail.
  • Document legibly and have the ability to hear sufficiently for general conversation.
  • See adequately to read computer screens, records, and written documents necessary for the position.
  • Discern temperature variances through touch.
Licensures and Certifications

A current California Pharmacist License is required.
