About the Role

Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring exceptional quality and consistency in every dish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food preparation, kitchen, pantry, and storeroom personnel.
  • Purchase and requisition ingredients, kitchen supplies, and equipment.
  • Participate in planning menus, preparing, and portioning food, while controlling costs.
  • Supervise Stewarding to ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment.
  • Supervise Cooks to ensure quality and observe preparation and appearance standards.
  • Supervise workers engaged in inventory, storage, and distribution of food and supplies.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of Banquet Chef experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of cooking experience.
  • Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
  • Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction.
  • Minimum 2 years of kitchen management experience.
  • College degree or certification in culinary field/hospitality field preferred.
