Position Overview:

Radar Systems Engineering Specialist

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Mission Technologies Division (HII-MT), is seeking a skilled professional to become part of their dynamic team. In this role, you will engage in comprehensive technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, as well as supportability and effectiveness assessments for complete systems. Your responsibilities will include conducting analyses at multiple levels of the system product and ensuring the transformation of requirements into structured solutions grounded in technical and engineering principles. Candidates with a background in Radar design or Signals analysis are encouraged to consider this opportunity for career advancement.

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 13 years with a Master’s degree; 10 years with a PhD or Juris Doctorate; or a High School Diploma with 19 years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience in the design, utilization, and maintenance of anechoic chambers.
  • Responsibilities include system design and trade studies, RF chain analysis, algorithm development, and performance evaluation of systems.
  • Proficiency in analysis tools and programs (such as MATLAB) is essential.
  • Experience in Radar Signal Processing Techniques, System Integration, and Testing is mandatory.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and oversee the planning, execution, and reporting of Systems Engineering activities.
  • This position is situated within the Cyber & Electronic Warfare business group.
