Radar Systems Engineer Job Description

The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is seeking a qualified Radar Systems Engineer to join our team. As a Radar Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for developing radar modes for state-of-the-art sensors. This position involves the development of radar modes, signals analysis, and working with a team to perform advanced system and algorithm development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct refined RF subsystem and system design studies, testing plans, and analysis of requirements into detailed performance design criteria in conjunction with the technical lead.
  • Design and build templates to assist SMEs in providing critical system information.
  • Conduct product or system design synthesis translating requirements into physical architectures for RF subsystems and systems of low complexity.
  • Define/refine internal and external interfaces for RF subsystems and systems.
  • Develop technical reports and diagrams detailing design description or performance as defined by requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of RF/Radar system experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance.
  • MS or PhD with minimum 3-5 years of RF/Radar system experience.
  • Highly experienced with C++, MATLAB or Python.
  • Experience with RF-SOC/GNU Radio.
  • Electronic Warfare experience.
