Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr Principal Radar/Signal Processing Engineer to join our team in Dayton, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radar systems, signal processing, and technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement firmware and software for RF software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) simulators.
- Work with a highly technical team of engineers to develop and integrate radar systems and signal processing algorithms.
- Collaborate with the Scientific and Technical Intelligence community (NASIC, NSIC, MSIC, NGIC, ONI) and the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Sensors Directorate.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and analysts.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other closely related field.
- 8-12 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with a minimum of 6-10 years of relevant experience.
- Solid understanding of radar, digital signal processing (DSP), and/or RF communication theory.
- C/C++ coding experience/abilities with understanding of object-oriented software principles.
- Technical leadership experience.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other closely related field.
- Working knowledge of ELINT and/or SIGINT.
- Experience with RFSoC / VHDL / FPGA design practices and tools.
