About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Merrill Gardens. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals for our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in quality food preparation, preferably in a high-volume, fine dining setting.
  • Experience in scratch cooking and maintaining documentation of temperature charts and records.
  • Ability to oversee and direct dining service team members during a shift, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Accurate completion of food production records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Preparation of food items following proper procedures specified by the Executive Chef.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in quality food preparation.
  • Experience in scratch cooking in a high-volume, fine dining setting.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Outlook and Word.
  • Culinary training or certification preferred.
