About the Role: Vendor Manager

The Vendor Manager plays a pivotal role at Roofstock, fostering mutually beneficial relationships with third-party maintenance vendors across our portfolio of single-family homes. This strategic position oversees operational needs, optimizes performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and ensures adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Responsibilities:
  • Developing and nurturing robust vendor relationships that meet Repairs and Maintenance (R&M), Turn, and Renovation demands and operational requirements.
  • Cultivating a network of vendors that aligns with Roofstock's goals, driving performance and efficiency.
  • Leveraging data-driven insights to optimize vendor performance, ensuring seamless execution of R&M, Turn, and Renovation services.
  • Promoting the adoption of the vendor portal, streamlining communication and operations.
  • Analyzing reporting and analytics to inform data-driven decisions, enhancing operational effectiveness.
  • Conducting site visits to review vendor quality, establish rapport, and evaluate potential new vendors.
  • Distributing and reviewing vendor performance feedback to the vendor network regularly.
  • Identifying sourcing gaps, prioritizing needs, and recruiting qualified vendors.
  • Negotiating pricing structures to optimize cost management, balancing vendor partnerships and financial prudence.
  • Serving as the vendor liaison within Roofstock, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Providing support to internal operations teams, demonstrating adaptability in addressing operational challenges.
  • Managing, documenting, and resolving escalations efficiently.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive shared goals and objectives.
Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this critical role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience leading, developing, and growing vendor relationships.
  • Proven expertise in residential Repairs and Maintenance field operations.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate performance and negotiate optimal pricing structures.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and delivery skills, with comfort in high-pressure situations.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, leveraging technology to drive results.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite applications, including Docs, Sheets, and Slides, with demonstrated expertise in efficient document creation, collaboration, and data management.
Salary and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $90,000 annually, based on experience and location. Roofstock is a total compensation company, offering a comprehensive benefits package, including:
