Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Planning:
Formulate and execute financial strategies to enhance the company's growth and profitability. Spearhead long-term financial planning and forecasting initiatives.

Financial Reporting and Evaluation:
Supervise the creation and assessment of financial statements, reports, and forecasts. Ensure precision and adherence to regulatory standards and accounting principles.

Budget Oversight:
Lead the budgeting process, track financial performance against budgets, and provide insights to enhance financial efficiency.

Risk Assessment:
Identify and mitigate financial risks, including market, operational, and credit risks. Establish robust internal controls and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Capital Management:
Oversee the company's capital structure, including debt and equity financing. Manage cash flow and liquidity to fulfill the company's operational and investment requirements.

Mergers and Acquisitions:
Direct financial due diligence and integration for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic collaborations.

Stakeholder Engagement:
Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.

Team Development:
Lead and nurture the finance and accounting team, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

Financial Reconciliation:
Prepare and manage month-end balance sheet account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliations.

Journal Entry Preparation:
Compile and prepare journal entries with comprehensive supporting documentation.

Accounts Payable Oversight:

Code Accounts Payable invoices, review payable reports to identify items ready for payment, and ensure accurate allocation of incoming client payments.


Payment Processing:
Investigate missing carrier statements, create return payments to customers, and manage other check payments as necessary. Initiate ACH, wire, and check payments as applicable.

Transaction Management:
Ensure all support for transactions is accurately processed and filed timely. Collaborate with teams to resolve transaction inquiries.

Control Enforcement:
Uphold and enforce established controls surrounding all payment processes.

Your Qualifications

Experience:
A minimum of 10 years of progressive financial management experience, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector.

Education:
A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required. An MBA or CPA is highly preferred.

Skills:
Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and attention to detail. Proficiency in financial software and systems. Experience with Applied Epic is preferred.

Leadership:

Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to drive results and influence at all levels of the organization.


Communication:
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex financial information to diverse audiences.

Ethics:
High level of integrity and ethical standards.

Industry Knowledge:
Deep understanding of the insurance brokerage industry and its financial drivers.
