Position Summary:

The Financial Operations Controller will support the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in overseeing daily financial activities, including the review of month-end closing processes, performance analysis, and action planning. This role is vital for protecting the financial assets of the healthcare organization and maintaining fiscal integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in both long-term and short-term financial strategy development.
  • Supervise finance teams associated with Laboratory and Graduate Medical Education (GME) operations.
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations and perform regular audits.
  • Deliver timely month-end financial reporting and performance evaluations.
  • Develop annual budgets and quarterly financial forecasts.
  • Conduct analyses of revenue, costs, and service lines.
  • Collaborate closely with the CFO on financial operational projects.
Qualifications:I. Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory.
II. Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years in hospital accounting or finance is required.
  • 7+ years of experience is preferred.
III. Certification:
  • CPA certification is preferred but not essential.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • In-depth understanding of GAAP and healthcare financial operations.
  • Proficient in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting methodologies.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficient in financial software and the Microsoft Office suite.
