Overview:


We are seeking a dedicated Property Management Assistant to become a vital part of our team at a thriving apartment community. The Property Management Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the Property Manager to ensure the community operates efficiently, maintains financial stability, and upholds high standards of resident satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:


The Property Management Assistant will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Respond promptly to phone and email inquiries to schedule appointments for property tours with potential residents.

2. Welcome prospective residents, showcasing the unique features and advantages of the apartment homes and community amenities, while explaining occupancy terms and local area information.

3. Successfully close sales with prospective residents by securing holding deposits and applications for apartments or waiting lists.

4. Follow up diligently with potential residents who have not yet signed leases to facilitate the sales process and secure commitments.

5. Assess and verify the eligibility of prospective residents in accordance with government regulations and company policies.

6. Assist the Property Manager in all marketing and sales initiatives, including advertising campaigns and competitive market analysis.

7. Manage rent collection processes and maintain accurate financial records.

8. Address complaints, disturbances, and violations while adhering to management policies and procedures.

9. Prepare, submit, and maintain comprehensive records, reports, and documentation.

10. Ensure the confidentiality of all resident data, including income and credit information.

11. Collaborate with other departments to provide necessary information and reports.

12. Conduct all activities in compliance with HUD regulations and Fair Housing laws.

13. Process move-in and move-out documentation efficiently.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.

• Previous experience in property management is preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.

• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License in the state of residence.

• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills are required.

• Ability to read and comprehend the English language is necessary.

• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
