Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the State of New Mexico as a Compliance Bureau Chief. As a key member of the Medical Assistance Division, you will be responsible for establishing and monitoring an effective compliance program, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and identifying potential areas of non-compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance program to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential areas of non-compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans to address identified areas of non-compliance.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on compliance efforts and progress.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and eight years of professional experience in compliance or a related field.
  • Experience working with Medicaid and/or healthcare programs.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to healthcare compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions

This position is based in an office setting with extensive use of personal computers and phone usage. Must be able to lift 25lbs.
