Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead the Energy Technology Bureau in the State of New Mexico. As the Chief of Energy Technology Bureau, you will be responsible for implementing programs created by statute and federal law, including the Energy Policy Act and the Inflation Reduction Act. You will oversee the division's activities and provide supervision to staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow the Energy Technology Bureau's existing and emerging responsibilities.
  • Oversee existing federal grants and seek new funding opportunities for programs, projects, and activities.
  • Maintain and grow technical knowledge in renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy codes, and energy storage.
  • Participate in implementing statewide climate, energy efficiency, and renewable energy goals.
  • Write and deliver quarterly reports to the US Department of Energy and the US Environmental Protection Agency.
Requirements

A bachelor's degree in any field of study from an accredited college or university and eight (8) years of professional-level experience with a light strategic impact directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment.

Education and years of experience must be related to the purpose of the position. Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage.
