We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team at West Central Behavioral Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all accounts payable, accounts receivable, and petty cash transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage timely reporting of monthly financial statements
  • Reconcile all general ledger balance sheet accounts
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Maintain fixed asset ledger
  • Analyze all revenue and expense account activity
  • Maintain accounts payable system
  • Purchase needed office supplies
  • Provide back-up for payroll processing
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 3-5 years related experience
  • Must be a team player and self-starter who is able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Must have ability and desire to solve problems.
  • Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with personnel at all levels of the organization.
  • Must have the ability to project a positive, enthusiastic and professional image.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize and organize work activities, and the ability to use time efficiently and develop realistic action plans.
  • Must demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness while monitoring own work to ensure quality.
  • Must have the ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, and is able to deal with frequent change, delays and unexpected events.
  • Must be consistent at work and on time, able to follow instruction, respond to management directions and solicit feedback to improve performance.
  • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in Word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (Microsoft Office).
  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
  • Analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data reports, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work.
  • Work requires excellent attention to detail in performing data entry and other job duties.
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities, working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and customer service skills.
  • Must be flexible and demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to learn necessary computer and technical skills essential to the position and Agency needs.
  • Ability to relate to staff, clients and community around a mental health system.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to access all Agency sites
  • Work at a computer 75% or more of the day.
Other
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Agency and/or State of New Hampshire required background check(s)
  • Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and the ability to maintain that confidence
