Job Summary
Dartmouth Health is seeking a highly skilled and organized Administrative Assistant to support the Psychiatry Administration team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our administrators, ensuring the smooth operation of our office.
Key Responsibilities
- Screen and prioritize correspondence, inquiries, and projects, and organize systems for distribution and review.
- Manage appointment scheduling systems, type from rough copy, and compose drafts of correspondence and special studies.
- Develop and maintain administrative office procedures and systems, including filing systems, scheduling, and document processing systems.
- Conduct special studies of an administrative nature, identifying problems and issues within the department, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Serve as a resource person, directing inquiries and providing information to patients and staff members.
- Monitor departmental budget accounts and keep administrators informed of expenditures.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Secretarial Science or a related field, with 1 year of experience supporting a managerial position, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer skills required, with ability to work independently, assess priorities, and organize workload.
- Excellent communication skills required.
